Covid-19 is still with us, continuing to infect people throughout the world, but gradually lives are returning to some degree of normality – along with reading and buying books. PDF versions of both the entries and the original Arabic works will continue to be requested by the Society of Authors, as well as printed copies, has has been done since the start of the pandemic in early 2020.

We welcome entries of fiction or poetry, translated from full-length imaginative and creative works of literary merit and general interest, first published in their original Arabic after or during the year 1967, and first published in English translation between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022. Entries can have been published in English anywhere in the world, but must be available for purchase in the UK, either through the usual distribution channels or online.
