The Saif Ghobash Banipal Prize for Arabic Literary Translation
The entries for the 2017 Prize
Many people ask us what translations are entered for the prize, and so for the last few years we have been listing the eligible entries, as we are doing this year, with the title and author of the book, the translator and publisher named and a small image of the front cover. They are listed in order of family name of the translator.
This year for the first time, we will be announcing a short list in December, following the judges' meeting in late November. The winner will be announced mid-January 2018 as usual, with the award ceremony being held towards the end of February 2018, as usual.
Below are the eligible entries for this year's Prize. The judging panel has the right to call in a title that they know of and is eligible but that has not been entered.
